Just like slavery, all things have had their time in history. The daily sunrise gives birth to new perspectives on the legacy of times past and inspires hope eternal of better and brighter times to come.

Father Nurture: A Celebration of my Father

This painting ‘Father Nurture’ is a tribute to my Dad, to keep the memory of his life and legacy alive. Right before his casket was closed, I tucked a laminated miniature copy of the painting in the pocket of his jacket, right over his heart.

Mother’s Day Reflections

Happy blessed Mother’s ‘s Day to all Mothers, especially those celebrating their first Mother’s Day as mothers, and those, who like me are filled with love and gratitude for their mothers who are celebrating this day for the first time in eternity.

“All things are working together for good” is a reminder from St. Paul to the Christian community in Rome. His words remind me that there is nothing disorderly about the seeming confusion and chaos in the world.

Play BIG. Live Authentically.

There is no benefit to us or to the world if we play into the limitations of social stereotypes of who we should be. There is no benefit to us or to the world if we direct our energy reacting to our critics or trying to prove them wrong. To do so would be to play small and not live authentically, denying ourselves our birthright to let our talents to flourish. So let’s choose to play big.

Act intentionally to dismantle systemic racism

As we celebrate Black History Month, the transfiguration calls upon all of us to examine the legacy of history and to act intentionally to surpass the limitations of anti-discriminatory laws in Canada.
