π On Saturday 28 September 2024, I was honored and humbled to be selected as an awardee by the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women project.
π The award is given to recognize and document the contribution of Black women who have excelled professionally while making an impactful contribution to uplift women and girls through leadership, mentorship, and role modelling.
When accepting the award, I was reminded of a verse in Peter’s Epistle –
βEach of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.β
I Peter 4:10
π Iβm sharing the text of my video message that was played during the Book Launch and Award Ceremony, in the hope that others will be inspired to give back, pay it forward and make a difference in the world.
π βFor me, leadership and mentorship have always gone hand in hand in my career in the private and social sectors. I strongly encourage everyone to empower others; to lead in building innovative community programs; and to offer thought leadership that promotes career development, health, and well-being. From my experience, the impact is exponential.β
π‘ Even though none of us can singlehandedly boil the ocean, we can each make several cups of tea!
What’s your cup of tea?
What difference will you make in your world?
Christ in you the hope of glory. That’s why glory matters!
